2003 Atlantic Division Award Winners Announced

 

05/30/03 -- The Atlantic Division Awards Committee reviewed a number of excellent nominations for this year’s Atlantic Division awards. The committee members made their choices based upon the ballots received.

The committee is pleased to announce that the 2003 Atlantic Division Amateur of the Year Award has been awarded to Bob Bennett W3WCQ of Towson, Maryland.  Bob was nominated because of his work in sharing new modes and ideas in amateur radio.

Ron Polityka WB3AAL was selected by the Awards Committee as the 2003 Atlantic Division Technical Achievement Award Winner for his work in QRP modes.  Ron has set up in public locations and has demonstrated this mode to a number of people.

Please join us in congratulating these worthy Atlantic Division Awardees in their efforts in keeping amateur radio on the move.
